Summer road trips are an old-school, classic way of going on a vacation. And sure; they have been very successful even in the time when technology wasn’t available. But here’s the deal
sometimes the pros of technology are more than cons. There are some gadgets that can make your summer road trip more fun and easy, so why don’t you start making a list of what gadgets you’ll be toting for your trip while you read this article?
- Wireless Internet:
I’m almost sure you were expecting this. A wireless internet service providers is the most basic gadget you would need on road even if you don’t plan to use your phone for communication much. You will need internet for reserving hotels beforehand, for finding restaurants and visiting sites and whatnot. So keep this one life-saviour handy.
- LED Flares:
Don’t even try to underestimate the importance of this little gadget that appears useless almost until you realise how badly you need it. If your car happens to break down in the middle of nowhere on a fairly empty road, you cannot possibly find help unless someone sees the light from far away. And god forbid if it breaks down at a curve, then this same gadget can save you from a terrible accident.
- Phone Mount:
If until now you did not think that this little gadget could make any difference, now you better. You cannot possibly imagine leaving for a summer road trip without having a phone mount to put your phone on while you seek directions from your phone because it is way too risky. To prevent accidents this accessory is a must.
- A PSP:
This one’s a must for your fun. I’m obsessed with gaming and don’t want to miss out on it under any circumstance. So I always carry my PSP with me and play while I’m off my driving turn on a road trip. It is also a great gadget if you’ve got kids with you on the trip, to entertain them.
- A Mini Espresso Machine:
Did you know that there are small espresso machines in the market that fit just right in a cup-holder? This saves you from a lot of road-side coffee expenditures and you get clean coffee made out of an ergonomic coffee machine. This machine basically needs no plug (Nothing except just some hot water).
- A Power-bank:
This gadget is not just for your entertainment but a basic summer road trip requirement. You will need a high-powered power bank which can charge the phones of your whole crew that sits on the back seat. You can recharge it when you make a stop at your next hotel. This is a must-have so pack and check it off your list ASAP.
- A Pocket Projector:
It’s your personal movie theatre crammed in your pocket or tote bag quite literally! Whenever you feel the need to watch a movie just connect your storage device or phone with one of these nearly magical inventions and enjoy a wide-screen display of your favorite movie!
- A Baubax Travel Jacket:
You would rarely find a gadget of the likes, but it is truly one of a kind. These jackets sport a mid-ride snooze eye mask and a soft next pillow, the jacket comes with tailored pockets of various sizes and shapes that are able to contain a lot of your equipment and it even has a pair of gloves hidden in it!
- Under-seat Subwoofers:
Get these bad boys if you want an incredible music experience. Because music is vital to an amazing summer road trip! You can have your regular speakers installed but imagine watching a movie on your pocket projector with an unmatched sound experience. I’m sure you get the idea of what I’m talking about.
- A Chargeable Fan:
Sure, your cars might have the perfect air-conditioning installed in them but what if it breaks down in the middle of nowhere. In a situation like this, a rechargeable fan will help deal with the heat.
A little use of handy gadgets can make your summer road trip more fun and memorable, just pack wisely and stay safe. Hope you have fun!
